The free file sharing networks primarily allow users to transfer their files free of cost over their networks. They earn their revenues from the advertisements that they transfer along with each file transferred.

In these networks, an individual computer can be connected to another remote computer and files can be shared among them. The internet can be quoted to be the best example of a huge peer to peer file sharing network. The internet connects a large number of computers via different modes and enabled data transfers among these different ‘nodes’. These file sharing networks enable what is called a file share and a free file share.
